Prayer
Letter
March / April 2005
Dear Praying Friends,
Upon our arrival here, God laid the burden on Karen’s heart to start a
new children’s class on Sunday evenings. She runs about 18
children from the ages of Kindergarten to Sixth grade. The kids
have been excited about learning their weekly memory verses and bringing
friends. They also are doing a great job of learning the books of
the Bible. The last few lessons were about decision making and the
consequences of the choices they make. She used the stories of
Lot, Rehoboam and Solomon to show examples of how our choices effect not
only us but others also.
It has been great to see Kyle and Torey growing in their faith.
Kyle is 11 and Torey is now 9. They are going to a Christian
School but the Christian Schools here often let a certain percent of
unbelievers in the school. The teachers are Christians and they
teach Christian principles and values. This has given us a great
opportunity to witness. Kyle came home last week wanting some
scriptural references to give to a girl at school. She told Kyle
that her dad used to be a Christian and that she needed more proof that
God existed. He first told her that if her dad was a Christian
that he could not lose his salvation. He then said, “Isn’t the
Bible enough proof for God’s existence?” They were quickly
interrupted by some other children but he was concerned for her and
wanted to go back to her with more evidence. It is so great to see
a concern for people’s destiny growing in the hearts of our children.
It has been a great experience working with the Keller’s in their
church. They have been a great blessing to our family. We
would appreciate your prayers as we have started asking God for his
direction for our second term. Thank you for your faithful prayer
and financial support. May God’s hand of blessing be upon you. We
love you and God bless you.
In His Service Down Under,
Tim, Karen, Kyle, and Torey Burr
