Land Appeal

August 2011

Dear Pastors, Churches, and Praying Friends:

          This month we have had a very unique opportunity present its self and we are asking for your prayers, wisdom and help for the ministry here in Vanuatu.
         When we embarked on our church building project we tried to purchase enough land to build our church building to house our growing church and enough to build classrooms for the future. At the time the man who developed the subdivision promised to sell five lots to the church and school. We purchased four and were in the process of purchasing the last piece only to discover a “friend” of the developer talked him into selling the last piece to him instead of us.
          Since that time our church has prayed the Lord would open up something for us for a play area for the school and overflow on special promotion days for Grace Bible Baptist Church and School. This week 3/4 of an acre straight across from the church came back on the market for approximately $32,000. That is only about 12% more than the price seven years ago. They called us first as they promised if anything close opened up they would give us first option.
          Now for the faith and praying part: we understand the economic woes facing you at home in America. It certainly has affected us on the field with the low dollar, but we know we serve a GREAT BIG GOD. He asks us to trust Him and exercise our faith and He will bless us. He has never let us down and we know in our hearts this is a test of faith in claiming His promises and answer to our prayers.
          We are asking each of our faithful prayer warriors and supporters to help us with this need. The developer’s secretary has said she will put a temporary hold on the ground to give us a little time to raise money for this special need.
Our people here have completely financed our new six room class room block by faith and are paying the loan for it now, but we need your help with the next step where we will not be totally locked in for future development. Please help us continue to grow.
          Will you please commit this with us to our Lord? If you and your people can help will you give us an email saying: we would love to help the mission work in Vanuatu and by faith send $ ____________for growth. It will be exciting to how the Lord multiplies your faith and ours.
