Prayer Letter

September - November 2010

Dear Pastor, church, and friends,

It is so great to be back in the “Land down under”. I arrived August 12 and Mary will follow November 10. This gave me time to get set up before she arrives. The Lord blessed right away with a house to rent and a car. The cost of living has really risen in New Zealand with petrol (gas) $9.00 a gallon and our rent is $340.00 a week!

It was a joy to see our people again and to drive on the left, ha! The work is growing with 45 to 48 on Sundays and 35 mid-week. I was able to win one man to the Lord a week before he died. I then preached a Salvation message for his funeral, as many were unsaved there. The funeral director said “that was the best message he had ever heard” and stated “Rotorua had lost a good pastor when I moved north”, which really touched my heart. Please continue to pray for our financial needs, our health and the work here with souls won to the Lord.

Please pray for New Zealand as the 7.1 earthquake September 4th did much damage to houses & buildings in Christchurch on the South Island, with many jobs now gone. There were 58 aftershocks, most were 4.3 to 5.1. Praise the Lord there were no lives lost as this was the worst quake since 1931.

We appreciate all you dear folk who make it possible for Mary and I to be where the Lord wants us to be. May God continue to bless you all, we love you dearly.

Co-laborers together,
