Lifting Christ Up
Down Under

So Many Blessings . . .

While you may be raking your leaves by now, we’re watching our flowers bloom! As spring brings new life to our beautiful land, we are praying for renewal in our ministry.

We got off to a great start in October with a visit from the Associate Mission Director of the BBFI, Steve Bender, and his lovely wife, Jenell. They were such a wonderful encouragement to us and our work here. We wished they just could have stayed a bit longer. Later in the month both Dwayne and Valerie attended a two-day leadership conference. We both left feeling refreshed and encouraged with many new fresh ideas to present to our own leadership team at the church. Pray for Dwayne and our people as he leads a brainstorming session on the 14th of November with some of the leaders in our church. We hope to get some new ideas of how we can more effectively reach our community for Jesus Christ.
It was also a great blessing to see the new youth group get up and running. The teens named their group F.A.I.T.H. which stands for “Friends are in the House.” Over ten young people meet each Friday night for a Bible study and interactive lesson led by our new youth leaders, Stuart and Michelle, who also help teach our Children’s Church class each week.
Valerie’s 7 Habits for Highly Effective Women wrapped up their 8-week course. 11 women participated. It was so encouraging to hear their mission statements and give testimonies of how the class has helped them.
The Fantastix dowel rod drama team which Valerie trains is preparing for their Christmas performances. They’ll be doing a routine to “Mary, Did You Know” for their community and in the local school’s Christmas assembly. They have 4 practices left. On the 26th Valerie will also be helping with the local school’s Scripture classes.
Yet another encouragement was seeing one of our regular craft ladies host the monthly Unwind & Design night in her home. We had 11 ladies attend. Our next class will take place on the 24th of November at our home. Valerie plans to give an inspiring Christmas devotion that evening. Also, pray for our annual Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations in our home as we especially seek to reach out to our unsaved neighbors and friends.

Finance Update
As the Australian dollar continues to gain ground here, we end up getting less each month for our support. It is predicted that the Aussie dollar will continue to get stronger in the New Year, which is a concern. We will be having a lot of additional expenses in the next few months including doctor and dentist appointments, new eyeglasses for Valerie, new high school uniforms for Austin, and the purchase of a new computer. Please be in prayer that these needs will be met. Thank you so much!

32 ATTEND ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
Despite some stormy weather, we had a great turnout for our three-year church anniversary on the 25th of October. Our theme was “Beyond These Walls.” Not only did Dwayne honor those who had been with us since our humble beginnings, but he encouraged everyone to reach “beyond these walls” to our community for Jesus Christ. We were encouraged to have a lovely new family join us for the first time. Thanks for your prayers.

Happy Thanksgiving from the Keefe’s!
We are most thankful for all you do!!
